The group were fast becoming a Poem-Factory! Here is a taste of what the group came up with using metaphors which described things about themselves and their lives!

I am a Euro unknown to pounds and dollars
I live on warm beaches in hands of new-comers
Once the door closes everything is mine
Secret and positive over time
The deep shade of pink like the deepness on warm cheeks
The 2nd day of evey week
One which counted up a steady creak
The Sun is yellow bright and warm
Most times referred to as happy as a newly trimmed lawn
With the spots on my back as bright as a light
I am able to be seen close up in sight
The pattern on my chest stands out of the crowd
I am lively, quiet, quick on the ground
I am unknown to many but a favourite to some
I am a thrush living in the hood
Mint leaves on my soup is less delicious
Thank the one in my cone with chocolate as an extra touch
Coke Zero, no sugar if that,
There is no number in the side of my bottled cap
7pm before the sun sets its warm outside
I’m a little tired but full of energy inside

Lying in till 9a.m
Warm cover over your feet
Ready to doze off
But the Morning sunshine hits your sleepy face
Hot sizzling sandwich makes the butter melt
Turn the tap on hot
Fog fills the exuberant air
Breathing in the strawberry wash
Warm milky and sweet
Dip my biscuit into the porcelain cup
A cold chilling breeze shivers down my spine
Soaring with golden feathers shimmering in the sunshine
An autumn leaf drifted down from the trees
Riggle with pink flesh

As blue as the sky
A dolphin swimming in the atlantic ocean
Chilling out on Saturday
Even hotter than an oven the sun will shine
Everything in the bedroom will keep you company
A £10 note rapped up in a card
Bubbling pizza in the oven like a jaccusi
Worms wiggling through the ploughed up soil of the field
6am the moon goes down and the sun comes up
Water as plain as can be sat in a cup
Waiting to be drank

Feeling as yellow as the sun
On a warm breezy day
Flying free as a bird
Having as much fun as a Saturday night
Filled with Vodka
I feel as cosy as my bedroom
And as needed as ten pounds to a homeless person
